Over the past few decades, we have bought this hair dryer style over and over. It works well, held up to teens with long hair and is comfortable to use. The attachments stay on during drying. This style is hard to find, but worth the search.

I purchased two of VS540 hair dryers, actually three.
The first VS540 was purchased some years ago. It finally wore out. The life span of that VS540 hair dryer was well into the acceptable range.
The second VS540 was a replacement for the first. It was defective. It quickly overheated and the fan was very, very noisy. My wife was convinced that it was going to explode or cause an electrical fire. I finally returned it. The seller accepted the return and gave me a prompt refund.
The third VS540 works well. I have been using it for about a month. It does not overheat and the nose level is reasonable for a hair dryer. If this VS540 lasts as long as the first I would replace it with another VS540.
