This Chicco car seat and stroller is fabulous. I was a bit unsure that I wanted a travel system as many people complained they were big and bulky. After reading through all the reviews, I decided to try it anyway. I'm so glad I did. This is one of the best baby things we own! The car seat is great, but the stroller is even better. I don't find it to be any heavier or bulkier than any other strollers. I love that the stroller reclines all the way down so that you can change a small baby's diaper in the stroller without having to rely on any public bathroom surface. The handling of the stroller is wonderful - the handles adjust and the wheels pivot easily or can be set to only move straight. When the carrier is in the stroller, you have a double awning over the baby to really control the sun exposure. I've also found that I use this stroller often without the carrier (my baby is around 14 lbs) just so he can stretch out in the stroller without being confined to the car seat. On the other hand, I do like having the ability to clip in the carrier in case he's sleeping, and I don't want to wake him.
If you're debating whether or not to buy a travel system - don't. You'll be really happy with this one. I know people who have just bought this exact car seat and then struggled to find a separate stroller. It's just not worth it.
Also, I'm not sure why this design is called "Romantic." I have a baby boy and was concerned that it might be a bit girly. The picture just looks a bit pink. It's actually black and gray - and perfectly gender neutral.

I have been using this system for almost 9 months now. I bought this seat based on the recommendation of a Safe Kids certified carseat installer. I am so happy with this purchase. I'm glad she told me to get the KeyFit 30. Had I bought the regular KeyFit my daughter would have been out of it by 6 months. My daughter is very long and thin. The fact that this seat is bigger means my daughter can stay in it longer. I have NOT found a car yet that this seat can't be installed in under 2 min. My husband drives a 2002 Civic 2-door coupe and the seat fits just fine in the backseat. I often take the seat in and out of my car. The best part about this seat is that you can adjust the base height with a click of a button. I've seen alot of people using pool noodles or rolled up towels to adjust the height of the back of the base. With this seat I know it will fit in any car it needs too. I can't tell you how easy this car seat is! You must experience it for yourself.
My daughter loves the stroller too. I look forward to using it even more now that summer has come around. The only complaint I can come up with on this stroller is that when my daughter was small and I took her for walks using the car seat on top of the stroller, the sunshades on the seat and the stroller didn't meet so there was a way for sunlight to get in her face. To me, this wasn't a major concern since I could place a blanket over the crack.
After buying and using this travel system, I found out some great news. Chicco's home office is in Lancaster, PA. That's right down the road from where I live. I like the idea of buying American made products and also buying local. I found this out from a friend who also used the Chicco travel system. She's been using her's for three years now. She called the company becasue the wheels were worn out of her stroller from using it so much. They sent her new wheels at no cost to her. She was surprised when she saw they came from Lancaster.
I would recommend this car seat and stroller to everyone! I stop people in babies r us and ask them if they know which infant seat they are buying and tell them all about the Chicco KeyFit 30. You will not be disappointed with this system! It's too bad that Chicco doesn't make a convertible car seat. I would buy this brand over and over again.
